Mini plug source
#1

Does anyone know what this plug is and where I can get one? The supplier of the A/C unit gets these preassembled onto the compressors. I want to add in a cut off switch without cutting off the stock connectors.

Look up weatherpack connectors, I think that style has a name for it but it escapes me at the moment.

It looks like a Delphi type connector. There are a variety of them.

That's the name I was looking for!

Thanks guys! I am doing a search by image but nothing is matching up. These came on a Chinese sourced a/c compressor. Supplier of a/c kit gets them preassembled to units so he can't help me.

Let’s see if we can narrow down the search.

First, this is for the DC system you installed?
If so, we can expect the current to be pretty high.
What gauge wires are those?
Can you take the connector apart so we can see the ends?

There are a few companies that make high amp connectors. More pics and ANY numbers you have will help.

Who made the unit?

Thanks Richard.

Unit is from Undermountac.com

48v DC system. I will get some pics when I go out there in a little bit. it's 113 in the shade now.
Wires appear to be #10 but could be #8 with a very thin insulation. Thinking they are 10. I was surprised the seller didn't know but I guess that's ok. He just assembles these kits. So far it's been working great for the last three months running non stop and under severe conditions. My victron will send a slight voltage spike which shuts down the compressor. System will run but not cool. This has happened three or four times. No fault of the supplier. What I want to do is install an inline remote controlled battery switch where I can reset the power with a button from the driver seat next to the thermostat. In doing this, I did not want to cut the stock connectors but instead use a plug and play method. Supplier suggested I read off the flashing LED code under the compressor cover the next time this happens. He hasn't seen any issues before. I will say that Tom the owner of Undermount a/c has been super responsive and helpful. I still stand behind their company in terms of quality and technical support.

Delphi is now called Aptiv, though you can still search Delphi connector and find them.

Iirc, www.waytekwire.com has a good selection. Mouser Electronics should allow you to drill down through their catalog to find part numbers for specific sizes, terminals and etc.
