Was reading through this post and read,
"First bath & 1/2 floorplan was around coach #423, a 1996"
Guess I would like to politely submit that our 1972 had the first 2 full bathroom floorplan since it was delivered with chauffer's quarters with a 2nd full bathroom with shower in the rear quarters.
Thank you,

I have updated the post near the bottom of page 1 to mention the first (and possibly only) chauffeur model built which included a 2nd bathroom.

Thank you Tom and Michael,
Our "Carole Ann" is a labor of love/hobby. Most Newell's are unique in some way and we certainly don't play in the same league as the 6 and 7 figure coaches, just want the Carole to get her just due.
We have much to do to get her to where we want her, but she is functional and reliable. The goal is to have her right where we want her by retirement......17 years to finish!
Thanks,
Bob Kopicki

Michael,
Looking at two 07's and have a question about the spread in coach numbers. One of the coach's number is in the low 800's and the other is in the low 1200's. I notice that the side mirrors on the 800 coach was on the side and the 1200 coach was attached to the roof line. What other changes did Newell make for the difference in the coach numbers?
Thanks,

Aw, the famous number jump. In the 2007 model year coaches started with #787 and continued through #816. At that time Newell skipped #817-1199 to account for the coaches that were built prior to the 1983 Coach Numbering System that began with #1. 2007 coaches resumed with #1200 through #1214, which was the last 2007 Newell made.
There were no significant differences made due to the number shift. The mirror location was the owners choice as early as coach #785, a 2006 model. Then coach #797 had the high mount mirrors. Starting about coach #815, half or more of the Newells had the high mount mirrors.

Steve and Michael - a tidbit of info on early slide coaches. I have coach 427 - a non-slide 1996. My uncle (the original owner) recently told me that he could have had the second Newell with a slide. True to his conservative nature he declined. The man still has an incredible memory, so I tend to take stock in what he says.
Not sure if this clarifies or confuses.
