Door key blank
#1

Good morning, I have a 2007 number 802. I need a key blank for the mid entry door. No luck with the factory or the lock manufacture or the local lock shop. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Tom.

Hi Tom,

I just went through this very same inquiry. After visiting multiple locksmiths and trying a few "close" cuts, nothing worked. I called up Newell and they were able to order from Bode a new cylinder and 2 keys. I was in Germany until this morning, so I haven't had a chance to open up the box yet. I think the cost was around .115 Newell Bucks... 115 bucks. Here's an excerpt of the email from Cambri...

We do not stock just blank keys, we could order them in from Bode but it comes with a new cylinder as well, this would cost you about $115, with a 3-4 week lead time

I'll run out to the bus today and try to verify if the new keys are the same as the originals.

just verified! You are correct. It appears Bode is just like Kubota, Cat, Deere on the heavy equipment.

It works on my rearmost lock, but not the front.

Agreed. I have only used the lock when working on the air system(fully depleted of air), and I wanted to make sure that the door stayed shut. I just got the keypad kind of working(beeping), but still haven't reset the code as I can't get the reset button to work. Incidentally, the fobs aren't working either. I will try to tackle that this weekend. Fun stuff.

One of my locks are damaged. Can someone tell me how the inside panel should be removed from the door? I am unfamiliar with how Newell typically attaches upholstery panels.
