Hello.
I replaced my six House Batteries and two Chassis Batteries about nine months ago. Previous owner(s) replaced wet cell batteries as they failed. As a consequence, there were three different brand Group 8D batteries with different ages. All eight batteries were replaced with Group 8D AGM Deep Cycle Batteries at considerable expense.
I was looking through the Newell Coach website to see what they were doing with the new models to get ideas about possible upgrades. One thing that was significant for this subject is that they now use PulseTech Battery Monitoring/Charging on each battery. It sends pulses to charge the battery and is supposed to extend life out to 10-year! I believe the cost for each is about $50 and is a good bit of insurance to keep your battery investment last a long time.
