Trans Stop Light on dash.
#1

I went out to my coach and the trans stop light is on.  Now it won't let me put the coach in drive or reverse.  When I parked it everything was good, go out a month later and this happened. Or does anyone know what condition kick the trans stop light on?  Any ideas?

Coach info would help. What year coach what engine what transmission?

Some coaches will not go into gear if the air pressure is low. Some will not go into gear if the slide out brain thinks the slides are out.

Coach 428, 1996 and it has no slides and only air lift, no jacks.  Checked the park brake and it is working, engaging and disengaging brakes, air pressure good, coach levels fine. The light on the HWH does not show in park break and travel mode light does go on. I think there is something not communicating with the HWH and transmission or brake system.

Check to make sure high idle switch is not activated.

After that I am going to unplug all the connectors to the Allison computer spray them with contact cleaner and plug them back in.

And try to pull the codes. https://assets.wellertruck.com/reference...manual.pdf

Fast idol switch is working and the transmission is not showing any codes. Newel has never seen the trans stop light on and it is just stopping communication to put in drive or reverse. I will try pulling the Allison transmission connectors, where are they located? I'm thinking on the transmission, but not sure.
