I need to find 2 to 12 new MAC air valves #225B-601BAAA for our 1984 Newell. Can anyone recommend a good source at a good price?

Glenn, I found two MAC valve distributors in Texas:
HARTFIEL AUTOMATION

Plano, TX 75074
(972) 633-0000
fax (972) 633-8010
AND
I-TECH AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS INC.
9512 Carnegie Ave
El Paso, TX 79925
(915) 599-3022
fax (915) 595-4952
Call them with your part number to see if they stock your valves

Thanks, Clarke. I was hoping there was a secret club where I could whisper the words "Newell Classic" and get lots of good choices at cheap prices. I see some online prices in the $73-$85 range for new valves.

That's pretty much the cost now. Back when I bought mine 7 years ago they were about $50 each.

Glen,
Are you replacing all of them for grins? Or is something wrong?
The reason I am asking is that many Newell owners, myself included, have thrown new leveling valves at a leveling problem, only to discover the issue was something else. I’m not challenging your troubleshooting only asking a new owner what the symptom is.

I have one valve in the front six pack that I know is leaking (bubble test), so I thought I would buy 2 to start with and see how things go. I did find today that the authorized dealer in Plano, Texas (Hartfiel Automation) has them in stock for less than $50 each (minimum order of 2). My 1984 coach loses supply (house) pressure overnight according to the gauge. Takes about 5 minutes to come up to 120 psi after starting the engine. Brake system is fine. Holds its height for the most part for the past 8 weeks. It was losing height when I first bought it back in April. The air loss seems to be associated with leveling efforts but am not certain of that. The coach has not been used much for the past 10 years and the air system seems to be healing itself somewhat as we use it. Thanks to all who have responded.

years ago i rebuilt clarkes rear manifold using new mac valves and a few years ago he and i rebuilt his front manifold using them as well. it made a huge difference for his coach in how the leveling system worked.

I will re-read Clarke's blog where he talked about that, Tom. As I recall he posted some photos as well.
