hello,looking for transfer switch box surge guard model 40250 or breaker cutler- hammer c65fnf360 contactors

Jim, reading between the lines, I am guessing you are thinking about rebulding a transfer switch that has an old Cutler Hammer contactor ? Not much can fail in those contactors, other than the contacts or contol coil Parts are still available. Each contactor  has one control coil and 3 moveable contacts, 3 stationary contacts and 3 springs.   Verify the operating voltage of the coil, probably 120 volts, and you are ready to buy your repair parts. Often, replacement parts cost more than upgrading to a current model of contactor. Your contactor is rated at 65 amps and 480 volts.

Hi Guy,well of course it's a long story now,but i dont know what is wrong with the box if the board is bad or a contactor.switched to a new surge guard box but silverleaf can't read it without changing out most of the system and cables,thought if i could find the whole box model#40250 that would be the simplest way to go.I am a pretty good parts changer but not a electrician.I originally was just going to bring to newell but was told it would be awhile before i could bring it and winter was coming so they said a simple parts change and i went that rout but things have gotten complicated.
