The Grand Canyon Railway RV Park is a great location and Very clean. We went for one night and stayed three. Great little town and 30 min from the Rim. Also a great Warbird Museum is just 20 minutes away...

As89Classic said the park in Williams is nice for big rigs. The KOA has narrow roads n sharp turns w trees. J&H is. Nice quite.. Stayed there several time but it is a seniors park. Black Bart not so good..
I would go with Williams.. Fun town also on Route 66.

Marc,
Stay in Williams and take the train with the kids into the Grand Canyon. This will be the most fun your family has had in a long time. There is a western shoot out before the ride and train robbers on horseback chase and stop the train. buy the expensive parlor seats and you will have a blast....Don't miss this one ....
Than go to Toms and play in the sand....

The GC RV park in Williams is pretty good. We had a bunch of birds there several years ago. Plenty of room. You can walk to most anything in town. The pizza joint has pretty tasty pizza! The KOA is across the highway and tighter to get around. You can not walk to anything from the KOA.
The train ride is pretty fun. Everybody gets into the "holdup". You're about an hour by car to the canyon, straight up the road.
