The PSG tstat, which would be original has a built in delay of 3 to 5 minutes when you switch from one mode to the other, or you make a change in setpoint. That also includes a built in delay to return to ACUTAL reading. The purpose of the delay is to prevent short cycling of the AC compressors. It can be frustrating, and we can argue that it should be different, but that is the way it was designed.

I like the micro Aire better because it has an adjustable deadband. The Coleman replacement has the same issues as the original PSG with time delays. Plus there is one issue you don’t know about yet. The tight deadband causes the AC units to cycle frequently when the sun is shining on the side of the coach where the tstat is located. That is tough on the AC compressors.
