Threaded connector nut

Does anyone know what this part is called? I placed a call to T.H. Anderson Pump company in Texas who rebuilds these Bennet Shifters but they think I would need a whole new harness. I believe this plastic nut can snap over the existing connector. I discovered this today while doing my perusing under the bus. It's cooler under there than it is outside.

Simon, To fix that lock ring is going to mean taking each pin out of the old plug and put it into the new connector....if you can find one.  A semi permanent fix would be take a piece of heat shrink and slide it over the connector/wire bundle then connect the plug and slide the heat shrink back over the connected plug assy and apply heat.

Is it possible to install a new threaded ring onto that connector?  If it is, maybe you could have one printed out of ABS if you can make up a model.......

If not, I do like the shrink tube idea.  If it needs to be sealed might need to use the kind with glue.

16 pin amphenol connector, but as Mr. Denton said, some assembly required.

I don’t think possible to slip a new nut over the connector.

I second shrink wrap.

They called me back from Texas and say they have two of those nuts. He thinks it will snap on. I guess we will see when they come in. I ordered two pieces. The tip off for me was when I went to get fuel somewhere in mid America late night. The shifter went from drive to neutral and reverse as displayed but it never shifted. Today I finally got under to check and found the connector was broken. Harness was still plugged together and contacts are clean. Shifter was rebuilt by TH Anderson a couple years ago. I could not replicate it's lack of shifting ever since the fuel stop episode where I was blocking a driveway.

I had one of those rings crack . I cleaned it up, drilled two tiny holes through it to tuck the ends of a piece of fine wire in (the holes aligned with the minor diameter of the threads inside) wrapped the wire around the outside and coated the wire and the OD of the ring with jb weld. It is still holding 6 years later.

Mine is missing pieces. I hope their replacements will snap on. I think it will. Worst case I am out $20 with shipping and I go back to the shrink wrap idea.

I received the two threaded Amphenol collars from T.H. Anderson pump. One will be a spare. They are exact replacements. There are notches on the collar that mate up to the harness plug. Align and snap on. Easy. Harness connectors are securely connected once again.
