Dual pane window fogging. Coach #1618, 2018 p50
Does anyone have any experience or suggestions with window fogging. Initially I thought there was 1-2 windows starting to fog. Coach recently had window tint put on it all the way around. The window film seems to magnify some window issues. Currently have 7 windows with issues, 2 front sides, 2 mid size, 2 smaller and starting of one large window. The mid size seem to show it daily now the others hit or miss sometimes goes a few days or longer without visibility.
There are 3 vendors I am familiar with in FL that take the windows apart, clean and reseal the dual panes. 2 of which I have eliminated from reviews and feedback in other forums. Clearwater Motorcoaches has experience with Newells in service and familiar with product. They offer window defogging and leaning heavily towards using them. I felt the owner was honest and down to earth when I looked at a consignment Newell a while back there. They need the coach 1-2 weeks will keep in shop and prefer drop off. Price depends on size and such said the most they recall was $900 per window, most would be maybe half, front windows were $2200-$2500 each for replacement.
It was discussed with Newell service their protocol is to replace windows. It is a lippert product which is a brand I cannot stand. Furthermore, while in service there was a coached that was delivered in the last year getting windows replaced under warranty due to seal failure. If new windows are purchased warranty is only 1 year. I cannot see spending for that unless listing coach which we do not plan to do anytime soon. I do not have confidence that a new window would hold up. They mentioned a vendor that could repair but it was a franchise company and mixed to poor reviews online. They were not familiar with Clearwater but they are well known within Prevost community and owner is very familiar with Newell.
Not trying to rock the boat or start a debate. Leaning towards letting Clearwater Motorcoach do the repairs not sure of a better option or solution to the problem. Located in the SE US, open to any options basically Texas east...any thoughts or experience is appreciated- I did not see much with searches
