We are new to the Newell family (#1260, 2009 quad slide, front entry. purchased Nov 2023)
We love the coach and are a bit overwhelmed by all the different systems but enjoying the learning. We have what I assume is a simple question, but find very little about it in this forum. A screen covering for the front door, or the equivalent. We are surprised that this problem has not been solved, by owners or by Newell.
If anyone has information on this subject, we would appreciate help, or if it is well covered in this site, just guide us.
Thank you
Woody

Newell has put in screen doors for their mid-entry coaches for decades but I have never seen a good solution for front entry. Possibly using magnets to hold screen material in place?

Do you have an air door or a traditional hinged front door?

#1260 has an Bode front air door. Not sure I have ever seen a Newell with a traditional hinged front door since the late 1970.

Thanks, Michael. I was assuming that but you know how that goes.

Possibly a
Magnetic Screen Door? The door arm may be a problem with it.

Thank you for you for your responses. I will continue to look for a solution, perhaps invent one, that may look like a Rube Goldberg.
Thank you .

Well, after owning my coach (2009, #1260) for approximately 8 months, I have not found another owner with a solution for the front door screen. We do not enjoy having the front door closed during beautiful days, but do not wish fly's and mosquitoes in the rig.
We designed, with the help a canvas fabrication company (mostly them) a screen enclosure that holds together with magnets. After four weeks of using the screen device, it works great. Front door open, nice fresh air, and no bugs.
We have the prototype and the fabrication company have the patterns. I will attach a couple of pictures for anyone who is interested, when someone tells me how.
If anyone wishes to reply, I will publish the name of the people who made the encloser.
Others may have done something similar, and if so, let's compare and improve it with the best of all ideas.

Attaching a photo is easy, IF you have the photo on the internet. Otherwise, you will need to set up a gallery on this site (click on Gallery on the line directly under the header photos on this page), upload your photo or photos to the gallery then, using the New Reply button rather than the Quick Reply, you get a detailed menu that includes an icon for pictures that allows you to enter the web address of the photo. If you need more information on the process, let me know.

Thank you for your offer to assist, but I am still in the dark. Perhaps I am slow, but this web site seems to be difficult to navigate.
On the reply page I see nothing about "Photos". I do not see where to reply to a post. I don't know where to start entering a post.
Are there any instructions for beginners. Any form of guidance. Can you take it from the top for a newby?
