Steve when we have traveled from north of San Francisco to the south we have used I-580 to I-880 and then pickup 17 back to the coast. A lot less hassle, especially if you make the run after morning rush hour. We've only gone across the Golden Gate Bridge once, and that was in our Class C years ago.

Clarke,
A Newell on a Sunday in the summer is much different than a Class C and I am sure that you agree! I know how to get around the Golden Gate, my seminar was in Pt. Richmond and that is on that way.
We did not see anyone with a Class A and we both know why. I would do it during the week with no problem, just not on a Sunday.

All is right with the World!!
Just go back from the Wharf. Had a cracked crab, ceviche, calamri, and oysters on the half shell (shucked right in front of me). Oh yes and Patti had some clam chowder in a half loaf.
As good as I remembered and worth the time;

No but I figured that the calamari was close enough to junk food.

Well, looks like we leave Reno early next week. Headed toward Yellowstone. No real route selected yet. Most likely the West entrance.
Looking for greener and cooler weather. Hope to meet others up that way.

Hey, Matt.....we in Portland, OR right now, and are heading south on I-84 along the Columbia River and then into Idaho, then toward Salt Lake City starting this Thursday (8/23)......what route are you taking to Yellowstone? We might be able to intersect somewhere along the way.....from Salt Lake we'll be picking up I-80 east into Wyoming. We should be in the Salt Lake area in 8-10 days....taking our time.
