Holding Tank size
#1

I understand current and recent production has 143G Water/Waste tanks.  Has this always been the case?  Is there information anywhere about holding tank size over the years?

Thanks!

I'm not sure of how far they go back, but a 143, or optinal 180 gallon tank has been used long before my 2015.

1995 # 390 has a 163 gallon fresh water tank. You can figure it by taking length x width ÷ 231. That gives you gallons per inch of depth

Not to hijack, but this topic is currently near and dear to me - does the holding tank have a breather or some other connection to the atmosphere other than the breather tube going to the roof? Asking because I had a very full tank from some boondocking and had to make a short stop due to traffic, resulting in a small amount of spillage in the wet bay (thank goodness it is contained) and a large amount of consternation from the spouse. Wondering if I need to look for a loose fitting or if there is a breather directly on the tank such that I should avoid running completely full.

Thanks for any knowledge.

The drain fittings into the top of the tank are slip fit. If you overfill the tank they will leak.
