i really appreciate the great advise and counsel. bill, in thinking about it, i am pretty sure what jumped out at me was large and ferocious and quite possibly a jackalope.
and the idea of shooting the jackalope inside my diesel engine compartment may cause some additional damage. but i am willing to give it a go if i can get the critter.

Although I'm without a Newell these days, I do eaves drop on my favorite Coach owners site, thanks to Tom. I have 2 Mercedes products and chipmunks have eaten wires on both of them to the tune of $4 grand. Soybean product is used in the wires and varmints love it almost as much as the MB dealer. Peppermint oil cubes have worked as a deterrent.

after getting all the plugs and wires and vacuum lines.....i got it repaired thursday. just got 2 new batteries today and will try it on monday. hopefully i found and repaired everything.
