Replacement for old-school Honeywell 120v thermostat
#1

I want to share what I used to replace the old style Honeywell thermostat for the salon electric heater.

I installed this:

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B09FQ9L3Q6?p...ct_details

The display appears blue in the image, but is closer to white in person.

This not only looks better in my opinion, but provides it me with access to the heater through the Mysa mobile app.  From the app I can make temperature adjustments, set up a calendar for use, and also see past and current temperature, humidity and usage.  This is something I like to have when I am away from the coach.

It's a bit pricey if I was to replace all the Honeywells, but the app does have the capacity for multiple thermostats.  It's worth it to me.

i like it. i have looked at using the nest thermostat for the main thermostats. just need to get 24v ac to the nest.

my rear bath has the honeywell in a small hole.

One thing about the Honeywell, it is bulletproof. They rarely go bad. Probably the most reliable part in the coach.

I used the same ones. They can be fickle with the touch screen

At my cabin the main heat is 220vac baseboard heaters. I've changed out the 3 Honeywells to 3 Mysa's mainly for the wifi remote accessibility. They work great!

David - It looks neat. Thanks for sharing.
Could you elaborate a little on what made you choose Mysa instead of others?
I browsed several others. I'd prefer a more sophisticated display that provides more details, like those below.
However, I don't know if any of these comes with a mobile app

Hi Joe,

1st, I didn't want something too big because of the location. I prefer a simple appearance.

The last one you list is the only one that could fit in my location.

Aside from that, just ease of installation and the ability to monitor remotely was the only other criteria. I am sure there are many on the market that could work.

The Honeywell and Mysa are 120 Volts AC and just switch the 120 volt heater power on and off. Most thermostats are 24 volt and will not work in that application.
