I am getting ready to remove may radiator and  cac on my 1999 coach your pictures are great  do you have others of removal and installation?
Hi Mike,
I have just change the CAC and RAD on my 04. Had a repair shop here in TN to do instead of doing myself. I change them both on my 96 and had the CAC out 2 other times. I would advise changing both at the same time. I purchase all of mine from Atlas Radiator. You can give me a call if you like at 865-712-5610.

I plan to change out both Rad and CAC Took them both out myself so I could do general clean up of that half of engine compartment. Radiator works in Joplin Mo. is getting me a new CAC as mine had some leaks. They are going to recore radiator as they say new ones not available. Initial cost est was around 4000.00. should get them back next week. I will let you know how project progresses.

Well Tom it looks like I am experiencing the same issue. I wish I had brother-in-law with me to assist.

The big question is do I chance getting from Fargo to Spokane before I attempt the repair or do I find a local shop before I head out?

I have help in Spokane. In Fargo I am on my own.

I am losing about a gallon a day. I guess with 14 in the system and only driving a few hours a day I should be fine.

So I set about the tighten the end cap bolts just to see if that would slow the leak.

I hand brushed against the fins at the lower rear out side of the radiator and they moved freely. The fins in that corner are all wet and no longer attached to the tubes.

I guess I need it re-cored?

Ours developed a leak on a trip about a gallon in 300 miles.  Nursed it along for a couple of weeks till we got home.  Pulled the radiator and had it re-cored.....approximate cost $2,400 and a 10 day wait.  The shop here in Central FL ordered a USA made core out of Michigan and so far it has been flawless.  I did the removal and reinstall which took about a day for each.

Went back and looked at my notes. Our trip was 1800 miles between May 1, 2019 and May 13, 2019. The leak started early in the trip which I found on my normal walk-around at a rest stop. The puddle of coolant was about 4" to 6" diameter on a 45 min stop. I would say conservatively I nursed the leak for at least 1400 miles by adding a gallon of coolant at every overnight stop after the engine cooled down...300 miles plus or minus between stops. Can you tell how much coolant leaked out on your last overnight stop?

About a gallon, maybe two. It started out as an intermittent leak happening only 2-3 times over the last 6 months. At that point maybe a cup or two would leak out, most days no leaks and the coolant level was good. The last two travel days, about 250 miles each it lost 1 gallon each day. It is now a consistent drip about every 15-30 seconds.
