We are heading down to Houston on the 26th of December to go and pick up our coach.
can't decide if we should swing by Miami OK - and visit the factory on the way home. Do they close between Christmas and New Years?
We will for sure get some great pictures and then can post some.

So, I grew up in Humble, TX. I just came into town to visit for the holidays and passed by a Motorhome and motorcycle dealership today. Coincidentally it’s the place I bought my first street motorcycle at.  Lo and behold, there’s a giant Newell in the parking lot.  So we stopped in to take a look and the dealership owner explained that it had just been bought by some nice folks out of South Africa. 1624 is one beautiful coach, congratulations!

Thanks Troy
I still cant believe we took the plunge.
I for sure is a Newell fan from looking at videos and pictures.
Have not personally driven this coach - that will happen on the 26th of December.
But I maybe more than my wife is very excited and can't wait to learn all about it and enjoy the driving experience.
Even though I drove 6000 miles this summer with my production coach and got good exposure and practice I don't have a clue how this will drive.
Even though looking forward to it I also have some intrepidation driving such a large and expensive vehicle.
Also we don't know how a ton of stuff on the coach works. The sales guy has good ideas but he admitted there are many things he does not precisely know especially the tv sound electronics and coach electronics. He still has to help us learn for a day all the buttons, meters, gauges, buttons settings etc... I for sure will draw upon the collective wisdom of the forum members. I am reading many hours what people say and have already increased my general knowledge.
Being a data and stats guy - loved seeing the surveys that were posted the other day.

Thanks Steve for the heads up on them being closed
My son (17) will be happy - he wants to get back to the girlfriend, so knowing this we will shoot home and should be able to make it in 2-3 days.

I believe you can book some time at Newell for someone to go over all coach systems with you. On something that new I’d have to think it would be time well spent if it’s on your way home.

I owned 3 production coaches prior to buying our Newell.  If your experience is like ours you'll love your Newell.  Drives great.  Quite, smooth and easy.  Basics are the same just a few different ways of accomplishing the same things when camped.

Good Luck!

Thank you everyone for the congratulations and encouragement
Troy and Kenda might have seen when they stopped in Humble and saw our coach that it had a small dent on the left side which was unfortunately made when the dealer replaced slow leak of the slide vacuum seal.
So this means a repair and paint job. Which I trust can and will be done well.
He ordered the precise paint through Newell but the specialist painter the dealer has line up and recommended is not available till after the new year.
So very sad - that we need the small repair and that we cant take possession of the coach till somewhere in January.
