30 amp service for storage
#11

Dave,

Your system with two inverters may require both of the hot legs to be powered in order to supply 110 to the necessary circuits. If that is the reasoning then a garden variety 30 amp to 50 conversion plug will work. You will not have 220 volts for stove top, aquahot, or dryer. You probably can run 1 AC. But your batteries, refrig, and electronics will be fine. There are some concerns with the Newell splitter that are too much for me to type on my phone

Steve

I have a similar situation in our storage building.  I also plan on using a y-adapter to plug into two separate circuits

Does your  chassis battery charger trip your breaker.  According to the Newell operating manual, that chargers draws 21 amps (at full load).  I have been hesitant to plug it in

Thanks

Ken

Ken,

Most charger/inverters have a an option for you to limit the amount of current it draws, or set it for incoming 50/30/20 amp service
