Haven't been in any remote areas since we switched to Google Fi. I've found in the Pacific Northwest that Verizon has the best rural coverage, but we're saving over $70 a month with Google Fi.

Thanks, I did get a Fi sim for my phone before we left but haven't had to use it yet. ATT service has been spotty through Canada but wherever I've had a signal I've had phone+unlimited with my (expensive premium) unlimited service. Plan to change that when we get back though and considering Fi.

If I understand correctly the Winegard connect 2.0 boosts wifi as well as cell phone signals. Can anybody update on what is working for them? Do some work better or not as well with Verizon?

We installed weBoost Drive 4G-X OTR Signal Booster Kit Truck Edition - 470210 about 8 months ago and get better wifi and cell phone reception with this unit.
