When I hooked up my vmspc I couldn't find a plug so had to tap into the wires. Hope he has plugs available.

the data wires go to the plug, so did you follow them?

I have been looking at the Asus Eee Pad Slate which is 12" wide and 8" tall and would fit perfectly in dash cavity in my coach. It looks like the VMSpc by Silverleaf works with this touchscreen table. Perhaps someone has looked into using it. Also, does Silverleaf probide a connector that will work with our rectangular unit?

hi chester. for 30 bucks they will send you the right cable. they do have it with the rectangular plug and it works just fine. i also ordered the round plug so that i can plug it into other coaches that have the round plug if i need to for any reason.
the cleanest install is to hardwire it in.

I purchased an Asus 12" x 8" tablet and tomorrow plan to purchase the VMSpc system. I think this Asus will fit nicely in my dash in front of the center gauges. I am interested in how those of you that use VMSpc configured your dash. If it is convenient, I would very much appreciate a photo of your digital dash configuration.

Chester,
You can save nearly $100 if you order the VMSpc from the link below. Silverleaf will provide the same warranty and help services.

If anyone is looking for a used Ipad to add this system to their coach, I have an Ipad 1st generation 16gb in good shape that I'm thinking of selling in order to buy a Nexus 7".
Let me know if you're interested and we'll work a deal.

Plus the Nexus has a gps, my old Ipad doesn't. I can use the Nexus on my RZR out in the desert. I have a Nexus phone and really like it.

If anyone is considering my RV Dash product, although I have tested on a first generation iPad, I would suggest moving at least to an iPad 2. The processor power on the iPad 1 is significantly less, and my concern is keeping up with high data rates across the wifi.
I will say that one of my beta testers used an iPad1 for over 6 months in my testing program, and he said it was fine. In my testing with an iPad1 it worked, however it "felt" sluggish, although it did not lag behind.
My suggestion has always been at least an iPad2. You don't need a lot of memory, nor is cellular required.
