To the best of my knowledge they used the Dana IFS front end until the change to the ZF suspension with 3 coaches in 2004 (#671, 681, 685) and then all coaches starting in 2005. I do not know if they changed the Dana model of the front end in the early 2000's.
If anyone has any information that is contrary or supplementary to this, please let me know.

Yes.
Later years of the Dana IFS 84 have a slave cylinder on the passenger side. It attaches to the frame and to the right steering knuckle. It is driven by hydraulic hoses connected to the steering gear box. That change would not effect tie rod ends or drag link ends.
I have seen this on Tom's and Bill's coaches. Bill's coach is 653.

Thanks Richard. Anyone have any idea when the slave cylinder was implemented? Obviously by #608 and after #512 if Mickey doesn't have it.

They are on sale. Ha!

I found the part #: 28560 (I think it’s the same) for $285 each ??? Could they really be that cheap?

Yes that is one of the parts. It is not cheap, if you look at what a typical tie rod end costs for a big truck.
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/find/k...ie-rod-end This is not the part, just an example of the price difference.

Yep, I think it just has to do with supply/demand - it’s Keynes at his best!

Oh yeah, and in case you haven't looked you need four tie rod ends and two drag arm ends.
