Just bought coach 463. 1997 45'er w one slide. Love it, but have an issue. Rear of bus has fallen and will not air back up. Compressor working, gauges read 115 ish lbs, front will raise/lower, left/right works properly. Bad solenoid/ Valve/Leak? Can hear no air leak while leaning in to engine bay and axle area. Any clues, or advice? Thanks

check rear travel solenoids first . On my 93 they are mounted to the engine bay front wall on passenger side. the magnets should be energized so if you hold a screwdriver etc. up to them they will attract it.

hi gurus,
i talked to chad on the phone. he said that the supply side is not losing air, but will not raise the rear in travel or leveling mode.
chad, to be sure, make sure your hwh control panel is in travel mode with the key on (green light next to travel). then press the level button on the keypad with the key on and see if you can raise it.
like dean said, when you are in travel mode (hwh system off and key on), the coach should go up to ride height (about 12" high) there are two travel solenoids on that rear six pack. take a screwdriver like dean said and see if they stick to two of the solenoids (one on the top and one on the bottom) which ones may be different. also look on this forum for a schematic of the rear six pack air lines.
if they are magnetized, your two ride height valves should be getting air and will go up to ride height if there is enough air pressure.
if they are not, you need to check with a voltmeter to see if there is voltage at two of the valves.
the same thing in level mode. when you are trying to raise the rear, the two rais solenoids should be opening (screwdriver sticking to them) and then you should be putting air in the rear airbags. likewise for the lower solenoids.
any other thoughts gang?

Look around the switches on the dashboard for the one labeled tag. It is a 3 position switch and make sure it is in the center position. That switch allows you to temporarily add or reduce the pressure in the tag axle. Most people never use it and leave it in the center spot. It's a long shot but it could cause the rear to droop.

Thanks for the ideas. I will check these things and hopefully get rolling by this weekend! Any other ideas, suggestions, advice greatly appreciated.

You have some good advice. In principle you have to determine first if you have a pneumatic or an electrical issue.
I use a steel washer instead of a screwdriver to see if the solenoid is energized. The two travel solenoids will be the ones closest to the bulkhead where they are mounted, or in other words the two to your right. One on the top and one on the bottom. The engine does not Ned to be running BUT the key must be in the on posits and you should press the travel button on the HWH Control panel.

What Forest mentioned happened to me when I was trying to leave my home in Mexico for summer travels. The tree position tag switch was not in the center position. Newell hot line let me to check this first and this advise saved the day.

Just wanted to follow up with my air bag issue---it was the tag axle toggle switch! I could not believe it. Want to thank you all for responding with what was great advice. Great group, look forward to participating.
