That is a 90% savings over Newells remachining the old studs. Plus after the machining the studs are a little too short for my liking as the new wheels are thicker.

Where can I get the Prevost studs please?  (assuming I need them) ... Anyone know where I can get 365s near Chicago?  We are in Davenport IA but can drive to get them...

I called Prevost service and they gave me part numbers for the studs (7/8") and nuts:
PREVOST PARTS: 1-800-621-5519
     Part Number: Steer Axle
Stud: 7/8” 610994 for right-hand threaded… $32.84 ea; 611208 is new part number (may not fit)
     Nut: 7/8 610773   $ 7.85
I asked about the 365 tires and they have them in TN and maybe Dallas... but do NOT ship tires
I was expecting them to hang up when I told them I was converting a Newell drive tire but both reps (service and parts) were very nice (service was nicer) ... nice to know we have a backup if all else fails...

I am not sure those are the correct numbers. My research shows:
The P/N for the special stud from Prevost is 611207.
The nut is P/N 20434082

Let me know if you order using different numbers and if what you get works.

So here is what you might want to pay attention to if going this route. The stud length must be sufficient to give full nut plus a thread. The Alcoa wheels for the 365s are thicker than the standard rim, but that is the easy part. The more challenging thing to verify is that the shoulder diameter where the stud is press d into the hub must be correct. You would think there would be some standardization but a catalog of wheels rude shows a plethora of shoulder diameters. I do not know what diameter is in the Dana hub. Perhaps Russ or Steve can comment

I went outside today and noticed the driver side steer tire was low on air. After further inspection I see there is a crack in the wheel about 6 inches long... Since I obviously have to replace the wheel can I get the 10" wheels that fit the 365 tires and still run the 315s? I may just order the 365 tires from Newell next week but it's the lugs that I'm worried about - I will pull the hubcaps off tomorrow morning and make sure I have the right lugs... maybe I will get lucky...

The approved rims for the 315s is either 8.25" or 9".  The approved rim for the 365s is 10.5".

Not sure if your question is CAN you or SHOULD you use the wider wheels with the 315s.  I have heard of a Prevost owner using a 315 tag tire and mounting it on a 365 wheel in an emergency.

Newell used the larger wheel studs with the stud centering wheels on their slide coaches until early 2000 model when they changed to the smaller hub centering studs and wheels.  Good Luck...............................

Is there much difference in the long run between Durabright and 'normal' wheels?  I know it's a coating but is it worth the extra $$$?

Found the link!  Buytruckwheels.com.    Alcoa 80360

I plan to order the tires from Newell today (hopefully can get 365s date coded after 2014!) and will order the wheels asap.
