Hi Ya'll,
Just got home from Alaska and was having some issues with my entry door, it only holds on the first click, I have to pull it closed and use the deadbolt to hold it closed all the way. I haven't taken it apart yet, just wondered if anyone ever had any issues with theirs? Is it a ford part? I haven't called Newell yet they may have one?

On my 77 and 93 coach The latches looked the same and we're from Ford. It is a simple setup and once you pull the trim panel the problem will be obvious to a guy with your skill set.

The latch used on the early 90's coaches were from a 1983-1987 Ford or Lincoln passenger front door. Here is one for sale:

Since yours is a pre-1983, they must have used an earlier model but I don't know which one.

On our '87 I used Ford part # E3AZ-5421812-A. Lincoln is correct - right or passenger side. If you get the wrong side - rods won't connect as the lever on the latch is on the wrong end of the handle.

Thank-you that definitely helps, ill take it apart and see what up. There's been alot of traffic through there, my guess is its just worn out.

Saw an old lincoln driving around town today, looks like the same door handle.

Is it missing a passenger door handle yet?

I almost learned this the hard way...
My coach is a 2003 but does not have an air door, rather it has a simple door with a handle. (Ford or Mercury, I think)
If your door handle lifts up more on one side than the other, then you should be very careful with it and inspect as soon as you can. My handle had broken on one side and was getting weak on the other side. If it comes off in your hand...well its gonna be a bad day.
A word to the wise is sufficient!
