I have been asked to re-post the information about the 2015 Mini Rally in Lake Tahoe. Here is the pertinent information:
1) Dates will be June 8th to June 13th South Lake Tahoe at Tahoe Valley Campground. You can come early, or stay later, or both, obviously.
2) The sites are blocked out in the name of Newell Gurus. You must call and make your individual reservations prior to April 15th....after that no guarantees. Phone number is 530-541-2222. After the recorded message plays hit #1, which will direct you right to the office. You want talk with Eric or Duane.....Duane is the manager, and the one I worked out the details with, but Eric is also very knowledgeable.
3) Our group will get a 20% discount off the normal rates. This time of year the rate for a full hookup site is $50-52/day. With the 20% discount that comes down to $40-42/day.
4) Tahoe Valley Campground is just over 1 mile from the nearest Beach (Pope Beach-closest, Camp Richardson, Baldwin Beach-furthest).
5) We are about 15 minutes from stateline and the Nevada casinos (Harvey's, Harrahs, etc.), as well as boutique shopping. Gondola rides to the top of Heavenly Valley run during the summer months.
6) We are walking distance from several good local restaurants, and by a short car ride to many more.
7) There is a large, full service Raley's Supermarket less than one mile from the campground.
8) Amenities: Laundry, pool, pickleball courts, horseshoes, Friday & Saturday night movies, Propane, camp store, ice.
9) There is storage on site for those who may want to drop their trailers....$3/day
10) There are numerous places to rent ski boats, SUP's (stand up paddle boards), kayaks, bicycles, etc. There are some great local bike paths.
11) The iconic Emerald Bay is under 9 miles from the campground....I know because I rode my bicycle up there about 30 times last summer.
12) For those who may want to put a tent on their site in addition to your RV you can put up one large tent on most sites for no extra charge.
13) Pets are extra
14) There are 4 park model cabins for rent
15) The temps in June tend to be cool.......mid 60's to high 70's daytime, and down into the low 40's at night. The odds you will need to use your A/C is almost nil. The odds you will want to use a heater first thing in the morning are pretty high this time of year.
16) Very few sites have a view of the southern sky so satellite reception is hit and miss, however, all these sites have cable TV.
17) The interior roads in Section G are nice and wide, and easy to navigate, however, the road in front of sites 151-163 is quite narrow.
18) There are approximately thirty 50 amp sites available in this section.....only 11 of these are pull through. There are 13 pull through sites in 151-163, but once again these are all 30 amps. If you think you can do without 50 amps for 4 nights these will work nice, and are actually some of our most popular sites. They had several large class A clubs in these sites last summer.
19) Not all sites have fire pits, but you can rent a portable fireplace from the office which will be delivered to your site.
20)The campground erects a large circus like tent each summer for various activities (movies, bands, etc) and it will be available to us for potluck dinners, seminars, etc.
21) For those Razor enthusiasts there are numerous off road opportunities in the surrounding area.
Eric, or Duane will be sure to get you in a site with the amenities you want.
Here is a list of current attendees.....if I have not included you please let me know right away via personal message.
