I bought an M&G air brake system for the towed vehicle. Have not received it yet, but does anyone know where to tap into the coaches air brake system, what fittings I need, and where the best place to mount the air valve on the back of the coach? I have a 1996 45'. Thanks for any help.

steve bare and i did mine. but it was a couple of years ago. if i recall, i called m&g and they told us where to hook it in. it was just a T fitting i believe.
the hardest thing was taking the wheel off to make it easier to get at.
steve, i fixed that....i bought a 1" air impact gun.....ha

The "T" in the first photo is 3/8 NPT. It is threaded directly into the right tag brake chamber. Then the original brake line is threaded into the other end. Then a 3/8" to 1/4" air line fitting is threaded into the third outlet.
You can mount it any where that it will be convenient for you to hook up. Second photo shows where mine is on the lower right. Hard to see air line, but it is just to the left of the electrical connector just above the trailer hitch.

Don't forget the torque wrench. Have to torque them to 450 ft lbs.

The brass fitting looks like an elbow fitting? Forgive my thickness, but it's still not clear what exactly to do. I thought I could just "T" off a brake line, but I'm certainly not sure.
You are right, in the second pic, I can not tell where the fitting is.

sorry about a slight misspeak. There is a 90 brass elbow that is connected directly into the brake chamber--that was originally where the brake line connected. The brake line was removed from that fitting and the "T" installed.
In the second picture look just above the receiver on the right side of the trailer hitch. You'll see a baby blue line going to a chrome connector--That is the electrical cord. Just to the left of that you will see a black boot connected to a black 1/4" air line and some baby blue line protector--that is the air line. It doesn't matter where you mount the air line. Just make sure you have unobstructed access to it once the engine cover is closed.

Remember you are messing with your air brakes. If unsure have a qualified mechanic do it for you!
