I've heard some say you can leave a DP sitting for more than a year and all is well... That's just crazy isn't it?

I can't think of any mechanical device with a internal combustion engine that can be left for a year that you could expect to continue operation without issues.. Who ever stated that lives in La La land.. Silly question..

My thoughts exactly Jimmy, these folks are motorhome owners and were acting like a coach just sitting around for a year, two or even three is no big deal! I may not know a lot about motorhomes but I've been involved with engines, transmissions etc since I was 14.
To say you can let a vehicle sit for years and just fire it up and drive off with no implications is pure craziness. I'm amazed at some of the things people will say as fact that is just wrong!
That is why I like this forum so much, it isn't filled with crazy people! Ok, so it has me!

Call me "Crazy".... I had a Ford Tractor that I let sit for 3 years outside without starting. Did remove the battery.
Well, a little ether spray in the carb and fresh gas and she started right up.
Had a Volkswagon bus sit in a garage for over 20 years and with a new battery and gas , started up as well.
Had a trencher not used for 4 years++ that started on the 3rd or 4th pull.
So I really can't agree with you guys about this subject and that's my penny and a half

I had a Ford tractor also that would sit unused for a few months at a time. Usually would start up easily except for the time I had to replace all of the wiring because of the rats eating it up.
I would be more concerned of a coach because of all of the different systems not being used.
Then again over the winter my coach may sit for a couple months or so without moving.

Our coach has sat for 79 days now without moving until today. Still small air leak issue I think. But they said engine starts & runs fine now.
