Since I bought the 93 coach I've been nonplussed by the seeming lack of power compared to my previous 77 coach.
Well.... I was doing a spring checkout of the coach and decided to take a peek at the air filter. I could not see any air inlet to the filter. Continuing to fiddle with it I discovered the the air inlet grid was pointed upwards into the top of the engine compartment and was mostly blocked off. I rotated the the housing so the inlet pointed to the rear. Holy scoot Batman, I now get up to 22 psi boost and the coach accelerates nicely. I no longer can afford to go to sleep pulling away from a traffic light for fear of running up someone's backside.
