Can I operate my inverter/charger on less than 50 amps. If so how can I do this. For example while coach is at storage facility between outings. 97 model coach #438

Depends on the inverter. One quick and dirty (emphasize dirty since you need to understand the implications, but may not make too big a difference if in storage) way is to change the ambient temperature of the battery to a set temp. The higher the lower the output, at least on mine.
But once your batteries are charged the charger should switch to float and charge at a much reduced rate. Really should only be a couple amps unless you're using stuff.
The typical charge cycle is bulk (high amps), absorb (amps decreasing while voltage rises), float (voltage kept at a 13 or so and amps kept low.)

Sounds like the same as mine, does yours have the remote panel? Which model?

My remote panel is a Link 2000, but there were two models of them. I have both manuals if that is what you have, I could email them. The Link 2000 has push buttons with a digital display and a couple lights on the bottom.

There is also a simpler remote panel with just lights, not familiar with that one.

The manual shows 26 amps at max charge. Float would be something less. You may be able to get by with a 20 amp service if the batteries were charged to start with. Best guess.

Page 8 of the manual (see Forest's link above) has a section on Power Sharing. This shows how to set the power when you are limited to 20 amps or less (depending on the serial number of your inverter).
