That is very good information...................Thanks
Mine seems like new, but it is 6 years old and has 70,000 miles on it. I guess I'm starting to think about a new one in my future.

It cost a lot of money to change from road master to blue ox. I like blue ox looks but we are talking about $2000.00 or so . After changing the car and all, not cheap.

I agree it's not cheap by any means however I gave to buy new base plates and now I believe I am looking at a new tie bar as well. So I am starting g from scratch. Does any know the life span of a break buddy?
Interesting I never heard or gave any thought to the lifespan of a tow bar.

My brake buddy is at least 8 years old and still working fine. I have the regular old one that is sort of cream color. Not the red one. Just having it in there sort of makes things legal in most states.

After each tow, I wipe the bars clean with a paper towel and put a good coat of WD-40 on them before I push then in. This is what I like about Blue Ox, their bar are protected from the dust with rubber sleeves.
