If y'all ever get bored on I-40 and you are near Amarillo, TX be sure to drop down a few miles and see the second largest canyon in the U.S.
Good campground (a TX state park) and the scenery is spectacular.
Hiking and biking trails and you can even rent horses. The canyon itself is about 800' deep and the spectacular views break up the monotony of the Texas panhandle. For more details and info:

Been there twice, but by auto. Didn't think you could park a 45' Newell in the campground. Did you go in your Newell? I like State parks and is one thing I miss by having a large MH. There are some in Ark. that work well, Petit Jean is one and Lake Ouachita. I'm sure there are others. Maybe we should make a list of State Parks that can handle a 45'. So many of them want take reservation and are first come first serve is another problem.

After Palo Duro go a few more miles south to Caprock Canyons State Park &Trailway. A 45 ft will fit nicely. They are the "Home to the Official Bison Herd of the State of Texas" and have 90 miles of hiking trails.

Marc,
Just wondering. Did 512 have a rear sway bar?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't. I was going to add it this spring but when I decided to sell it I decided against it. Richard is going to have them add one tomorrow if it doesn't have one..

Crater of Diamonds in Arkansas can handle a 45' coach. I was going to host a rally there this June, but the lack of a convienient clubhouse, coupled with a town small enough to not really have a restaurant big enough to handle 40 or so people, nixed it for this year. More research is needed, but singles or a small group of coaches would do really well.
Palo Duro is a great place to ride motorcycles, too!
