2024 No Rally Rally
#31

OK So... in the spririt of ad hoc scheduling (an Oxymoron!) we have September 30- October 4th to cover 2 or 3 meals a day.

I am unsure at the moment what's around the camp ground area for restaurants, but it's likely some of these meals will be off site.

So, 3.5 days. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

I'll do a Breakfast and a Dinner, no problem.

We can do whole meals, or each person wanting to participate can do a dish and we can go in that direction. No stress either way.
Anyone else want to cook/bring a meal or dishes for a meal?

Anyone know the area and what's around us for eating out?

Be seeing you,

Rick Miller

I don't know anything about where we are heading but Pam and Ken, Gordan and Susan might chime in I think they have been there.

I have not been to this campground before either. When I was looking for a place for the rally, Bardstown is centrally located on the bourbon trail. There are a lot of activates and lots of restaurants.

Is anyone else interested in cooking a meal(s) or putting together a trip to a restaurant in Bardstown. I see some interesting places there.

What's everyone's feeling on Breakfasts, Lunches and Dinners?

Make and share, go out or fend for yourselves?

Be seeing you,

We would like to be included if a trip to a local restaurant is planned anytime. We could bring a dish for potluck as well. Happy to attend any functions planned. I’m just not a good planner!
While at the Spearfish no-rally rally several attendees opened up their rig for a “open house” for a couple hours one evening so other attendees could visit. We would be happy to participate in that as well.
Activities I am considering:
My Old Kentucky home State Park
Kentucky Railway Museum
Old Bardstown Village Civil War Museum
Maybe a scenic train ride.
We like visiting historic Homes.
We both still work so typically don’t plan ahead!!!

We're going to have to back out of coming. I had a dog just diagnosed with cancer last week and had to have a leg amputated. Coach is going to be parked for a few months.

Hate to miss out on the fun, I know yall will have a blast.

Warm regards,

My agriculture business took me to Tennessee this week so I made a small detour and stopped in at White Acres  Campground. I talked to Ann. It is a family owned business with different people taking reservations. Some reservations were labeled for a Newell Rally and some were mistakenly labeled for a NEWMAR rally. I helped Ann sort through their book to find those I recognized from The Newellgurus group. I’m not sure I have all names correct but here is the list we could find:
rick miller
susan rice.  ( two reservations)
mike yarborough
janet price
jack houpe
dean stoops
steve mcgowan
pam cameron
vinny mafpropieri
steve harvey
matthew sturgis
bob hallman
I apologize if I got spelling wrong. The names were handwritten in the reservation book. They use your credit card transaction number for your reservation number. Having that number at hand might help if you call them regarding your reservation. I recieved an email with my reservation info.
The campground is very nice and Ann was very friendly and accomodating.
When you enter the drive I would advise an angled approach. There is a substantial drainage trough along the berm of the highway.

Thank you for the information.  I will have to check with them again, I should only have one reservation.
