Auxiliary Air Water Separator
#31

Jon I think its probably because the check valve is easier and cheaper to replace than rebuilding the compressor.

I just looked and I do have a check valve installed on the compressor. I did not install the compressor and never really paid any attention as to what it was.

The discharge valve at the bottom of the auxiliary air/water separator is letting air escape.  I want to check the electric valve to verify if it is working or if I have a power supply problem.  Is this a 12v or 120v. valve?

Chester,

And mine is 120 VAC, triggered by voltage coming from the pressure on off switch.

Mine is identical to the photos posted by Russ White on page one of this thread. The solenoid that ejects the water is 12v and works perfectly. However, there is no power to it so I have ordered the Potter and Brumfield relay hoping it will solve my problem.

Or you could change out the filter to a float operated auto dump one like in post #22. No power needed.

At least in my case, the solenoid does more than just dump the water. It also unloads the compressor.

Richard, you posted that your water discharge valve is 120 volt and connected to the air pressure switch. Mine is 12 volt, but I would like to change to a 120 volt valve. Would you happen to have make and model for your valve?

Not near the coach for a few days, but I got it from McMaster Carr. Make sure you get a direst acting and not a pilot operated model
