ALERT to all attendees. As you know the Asheville/Black Mountain area was devastated during Helene. The campground where we had reservations did not escape without significant damage. I am not sure if they can even assess the damage yet due to road access issues.
Also I 40 from Knoxville to Asheville is closed.
Rhonda and I made the decision to eliminate the unknowns and reschedule this week to Big Meadow Family Campground in Townsend TN. There is easy access to Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mt NP, and the Pigeon Forge circus from there. It is located on the quiet side of the park. I hope you will reschedule and join us there. Their phone number is 865 448 0625. As of this morning they have open big rig sites for those dates.
I will also reach out to the folks who said they would attend with this information.

I was wondering about the campground. Was afraid it was not going to be ready for next year. Were you able to contact them to cancel the reservation? We are looking forward to this trip, so I will look up the new place and see about a site.
We just returned from a week at the Wanderlodge rally so I am just getting back in the groove again.

We will cancel when the original campground comes back on line. Right now, their website politely requests that no one call.

Just called and cancelled at KOA, they said it may be 2026 till they are back open.
Booked into site 64 at Big Meadow!

I booked the same week I had before, May 11th to the 17th. We will travel up in a couple days, stopping just south of Atlanta the first night.

I've booked site 65 for May 6-18th.. Likely I will have to shorten that as we get closer to the dates next year... but I am confirmed.
