WARNING: Be careful with letting the word out. When people, including family, hear that you are retired they will try to find jobs for you to do as they think you need something to keep you busy. AVOID IT!!!!!
This advice is offered by the Maynard G. Krebs of the retired folks. Just starting year 18 today! I consider myself an expert at being retired.

Tom congratulations. I recall when I had just started to work that a SVP at the bank retired shortly afterwards. I saw him a year later and he told me he was so busy in retirement that he didn't know how he had any time to work before.
I have coach projects for you. Probably create some as we drive this summer as well.

Tom, that is great news. I retired 21 years ago, and have never had any regrets. I pinched myself for joy every few hours for six months. I do not know how I ever had time to work since I have enjoyed retirement so much. Problem is that I get up when I want to and ponder that I have nothing to do, but retire in the evening with nothing have done. Go figure.

Well Tom, you are in for a great new life! Chester summed it up perfect. My definition of "to retire" is to quit working at things you don't enjoy and spend all your time thinking about how you're going to have time to do all the things you LOVE to do. Such as, "how are Darlene and I going to find the time to go to the Weikarts, in Mi. and allow them to treat us as nice as they were treated in Mesa!" A sincere Congrats from Vanessa and Larry.

Congratulations Tom!!!!
When I was young I thought I'd retire at 50!!! (50 seemed old at the time!) Hmmm, that was 6 years ago.. Oh well I love what I do ...Some people think I'm retired already. That's just because I make it look easy!!! B-)

Congratulations, Tom! I've got a few more days to go than you do, but come 7 June I'm turning in my keys and going to start to work on stuff I want to do.
