Greetings from San Antonio Texas:
Classification "A Newell Wanna-Be"
Rose & I have been camping in a class A for about 10+ years; prior to that our camping style as many different shades.
We've experienced three different types of class A's.
1st was a well used 1989 30 ft Fleetwood Southwind with a 454 Chevolet; great engine in a Corvette not so much in a 14,000lb MH.
2nd 1964 35ft coverted GMC 4106: this is where I got the bug for the bus frame. Loved the DD 8V72 but didn't care for the oil all over the toad.
3rd & current MH is a 2005 40ft Fleetwood Discovery with a 330 Cat; this is where affortablity for slides in a plastice MH won over no slide bus.
We use our MH mainly for rallies and a once a year longer trip.
We started to look at bus type MH (Blue Bird & Newell) and bus conversions (Prevost, MCI, Eagle, etc).
As of this writting we're leaning toward a Newell for many different reasons.
I enjoyed reading the various posts and I am gaaining some great insight into the Newell line
Merry Christmas to all
