You said the previous owner replaced the air bags with a non standard part and a spacer was required. What other details do you have about this situation? Part number of the bag used would be CRITICAL to understanding what is going on here.
I do not know this to be true, but IF airbags that are too short are used and they are pumped to their max extension to raise the coach, then you have NO spring at all in the suspension, and it will ride like a wagon.
