I would recommend trying to rotate the clamp on your tie rod so the bolt is on the underside. While your under there try to clean up the area in the red rectangle as well as the cylinder end. dirty cylinders have a tendency to create seal issues. It could also be the pins on either end of the cylinder are worn and allowing the cylinder to "wobble" and make contact.
Thanks! Sorry for the rudimentary question, what type of cleaner would you recommend for that area along with the entire front suspension area. Tons of that area have LOTS of buildup over the years and I would like to clean that up.
