Progress . It is a long and winding journey from tank to primary filter . Goes through the fuel/ water separator , driver's side .
There are two separators , main engine and generator .
About three years ago I replaced my separators with more modern units , Racor copies .
Worried about compromising flow , I removed the filter elements . This was a mistake , and resulted in losing " prime" .
Engine acted similar to yours , but it would die once aux fuel was removed .
I ended up putting a gear pump inline , driven with a drill . Once I had a solid flow of fuel to primary filter problem was solved .
Since you were able to actually drive the coach , I think you have a restriction somewhere or pulling air somewhere as has been mentioned .
