I may need to get a new muffler vs replacing the ‘rope’ exhaust for the extension part of the genset (not sure what that gasket is called and can’t find it here…I replaced my rope last year and it helped my leak, but did not fix it. My real problem was that I high centered my exhaust on some heavy gravel and pinched the pipe a bit at one joint and ripped a little bit is the muffler at one of the seams.
Went to a muffler shop ane had them make me all the pieces and I’m all good now.
The worst part of changing the rope is you need a really small person to get in there.
