Corey,
Not trying to overwhelm you, but read through this post till you get to the part where I filled the OHLA with grease and bypassed the Newell design. It has worked great and eliminated a leak source. https://newellgurus.com/showthread.php?t...&pid=52619
At any case, there is one CRITICAL step in reassembling the OHLA that must be done correctly. It’s a simple device so the FL shop may not take the time to carefully read the manufacturers instructions. There is a circlip that holds the bearings inside the case. That is common. That circlip is TAPERED. The purpose of the taper is to preload the bearings. If it is put in backwards the bearings will be too loose. Make sure the shop knows about the taper.
And you are asking, what is a circlip? https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/...UQEA&adurl=
That’s not the one in the OHLA, just sending a pic of one, so you know what we are talking about.
