Tyler,
First- the parts you will need are out there, in spite of it being 25 years old.
Second- these aren’t that tough, YOU can fix it.
Third- I replaced my Aquahot unit in my 96 with a rebuilt unit from AquaHot through Roger Berke (acting as a sales intermediary). I managed to freeze the fresh water coils the second year I had that coach, so I replaced it. This was roughly 15 years ago. The unit cost $7700 shipped to me. It’s a box with various connections. You disconnect everything, pull the old box, put in the new box and reconnect everything. It’s a very doable job.
When you freeze the fresh water coil that’s wrapped around the outside of the coolant “tank” that’s outside of the burner box, there are patch jobs that can be done. AquaHot (of course) recommends replacing the unit. I was unable to find a good heat conducting mastic to ensure good heat transfer from the coolant reservoir to the fresh water copper coil.
I have a Webasto unit in my current coach. It’s the same burner as the AquaHot, just different peripherals. I liked my AquaHot and actually wish I still had one. They just work well (typically )
