Took the coach to Caterpillar in Springfield Missouri to evaluate the engine cooling system. The technician determined the cooling system was functioning normally and recommended changing the regulator to a 180°-200°.
The thermal switch I installed is calling for fan high at approximately 212° coolant temp and resets fan to low at 204°.
I’ve installed new fan blades and pitched them to 27.5°.
I believe the only way I can completely solve the cooling problem is pulling more air through the radiator. I can only pull more air with a new hydraulic pump driven by the transmission. That project is ongoing.
