Spoke to Ken.
He has the "cellular" model in question. These use a lift cord inside, and based on the video he sent me, my guess was that the cord was getting hung up, sticking, and then causing that side to actually wrap the other way; thus LIFTing the shade as the other side was still lowering.
I suggested for him to "coax" the shade down by helping pull from both sides as it lowered; along with a couple back and forths to help the cord get re-wrapped correctly.
That worked...The shades are back to normal.
