That is an easy one Matt. When Newell started giving a sequential number to each coach in 1983, they had already built 383 coaches but they started over with 001. During the 2007 model year, Newell decided to compensate for the undercounted coaches by skipping coach numbers 817-1199. So #1200 would have normally been #817. So that put them almost back on track number-wise for a while. I saw almost because Newell also skipped coach #666 (based on superstition causing folks to not want #666). It also didn't fix the count for long because in 2010 Newell skipped #1300-1399 (again for superstition, same reason many building skip the 13th floor). Most recently when they were getting the 2017 p50 major restyle certified, they started the numbering of the first p50 model at #1600 and continued to build 2020P models. When they got the certification, the last 2020P under construction was #1565 so they skipped #1566-#1599 also.
