I thought I might post a few lessons learned and observations from the 2019 tour.
First of all, none of the campgrounds that Rhonda selected were too tight for a 45 footer. That was her biggest concern about NE campgrounds.
Second, if you are touring NE, go ahead and buy a toll pass that will work for all the NE states. It will save you much aggravation in stopping at the toll booths.
Third, they put mayonaisse on everything in Maine. Rhonda doesn't like mayo.
Fourth, avoid I 84 in NY state at all costs. Roughest interstate I have ever traveled.
Fifth, if you are going to Acadia Nat Park in Maine, Narrows Too campground is close and spacious.
Sixth, the hiking in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont is vertical, rocky, and rooty.
Seventh, the state parks in the Finger Lake Region of NY are fantastic.
Eighth, take the time to tour the major Civil War battlefields. It will make you want to visit your Congress people and demand that they start working together.
And the best for last, if you are into cycling then the carriage trails in Acadia Maine, and the New River Trail and Virginia Creeper in Virginia are treasures.
