The guy arrived this morning at 9 am, right on time. He had three 50 gallon drums with him and proceeded to pump my tank dry. It took about 30 minutes in all. Two things I know for sure now....I don't have any fungus in my tank, and if there was any water, it is gone now!
Poured in 27 gallons of good diesel, and then re-primed the filters, then turned her over......she just purred, and purred. Then drove over to Race Trac to complete the fueling. Added a quart of ATF, and some Howe's for good measure. She ran strong all the way up to St. Augustine, FL where we are tonight.
In talking with the pump out guy, he says this happens all the time with boats. One of my blog readers said this happened to him on his boat....the attendant put in gas, instead of diesel.....the EPA got involved, and it cost him $2,500 to drain the bad fuel out....bummer!
