David,
In looking for a park every one has their own expectation and desires. We have found that most of the federal parks are old and haven't been updated. We visited them all many years ago. We now stay outside the federal parks & drive in to visit. We do use some state parks, some Corp of Engineers parks and some city & county parks too. We have to be selective due to the height. Our coach is 13'3" and many parks only trim trees to 12' or less. We have found the height is much more restrictive than the length. Our selection of parks has changed over the years as we have gone from a 23' to a 27' to a 32' to a 40' and now 45'. Lots of nice parks out there--both public & private. The most useful tool I have found to find a park we like is this web site----http://www.rvparkreviews.com/.
Hope this helps..............................
