I bought my coach from the factory and was a first time motorhome buyer. Even though the coach had gone through a Pre-Delivery Inspection. A number of issues came up that I would have liked to know about. Newell stood behind the coach for the warranty period, but an experienced inspector would have told me that the house batteries are going to need replacing, there was a leak under the drivers window and there was another leak around rear cap. I probably would have bought the coach anyway, but I could have negotiated on these points.
Please don't misinterpret...I love my coach and since my coach had a lot of miles, I expected some issues to be present. Newell's are the best of the best, but all coaches will have some issues from time to time.
The focus of the factory PDI is: What is wrong with coach now. What I wanted to know is what will be wrong in the near future.
So, if I had it to do over, I WOULD get a professional coach inspector. Who, where, and how much, I don't have a clue.
ps. Welcome to the forum.
